Tom Cole is a Photojournalist at 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado.

Tom grew up 40 minutes north of NYC in Mount Kisco, New York. He went to Horace Greeley High School. Horace Greeley was known for saying “go west young man.”

During his college years in the late 80s and lastly in 1999, Tom worked as a river guide in the Tetons. In 1991 he found himself guiding on the Nenana river in Alaska. He left Alaska for good in 2002 to marry his now wife and mother of their two boys.

Somewhere between high school and Alaska he got caught up in television working for New Hampshire Public TV(1990-91), WMUR in Manchester, New Hampshire (1992-93/1995-96) and KTUU in Anchorage, Alaska. (1993-95/1997-2002).

Tom claims he’s done bouncing around and that his rewards are meeting all the people along the way and receiving awards in the forms of “pats” on the back.
