Tyler Lahanas is a Digital Video Producer at 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado, specializing in targeted short-form and documentary-style videos for social media and TV.

Tyler joined the 9NEWS team in May 2016.

During his short time working at 9NEWS, he has been tasked with shaping the station's video strategy and implementing best practices for video across all platforms. He challenges himself to deliver news in a unique way, and recently had his work recognized at the 2018 Heartland Emmy Awards.

He began his career behind the lens at a young age, shooting action sports, skits, music videos and anything else that caught his interest. In 2011, while attending University of Colorado Denver to get his Bachelor's degree in filmmaking, he dove into the YouTube scene - creating a channel that surpassed 120,000 subscribers and producing videos that gathered tens of millions of views.

Tyler is originally from the Boston area but moved to the wonderful state of Colorado at the age of 7, so he's only sort of a transplant. During his free time, you can find Tyler at the local ice rink playing hockey, trying to be decent at still photography, enjoying the great outdoors, or hanging out with his friends.
