DENVER — Comedian Mike Birbiglia is returning to Denver this summer for a stand-up show in downtown Denver.
Birbiglia will perform his brand-new hour of comedy at the Paramount Theatre on Friday, June 5 at 7 p.m.
The announcement comes in celebration of his upcoming book The New One: Painfully True Stories from a Reluctant Dad, which is set to be released on May 5.
Tickets for the Denver show go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. at ParamountDenver.com. They cost $30 to $40, plus applicable service fees. A limited number of premium tickets, which include a signed copy of Birbiglia’s new book, are available for $55.
Starting Monday, March 9, tickets will also be available for purchase at the Pepsi Center box office and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park box office.
"His last show was about birth. His new show: death," promoter LiveNation said. "Join Mike as he takes on life’s darkest topic with the only weapon we have: jokes."
Birbiglia's previous comedy shows, "The New One," "Thank God for Jokes" and "My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend" are all available to stream on Netflix. He's also known for roles in “Orange is the New Black” and “Trainwreck."
