MORRISON, Colo. — The Denver Film Society has canceled its screening of "Titanic" set for Friday, May 10 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
"After consulting with our partners from the City of Denver and based on the predicted weather/temperature conditions for late Friday evening, we have made the decision to cancel this evening’s Film on the Rocks screening of 'Titanic' on May 10," reads a statement from the Denver Film Society.
The showing of "Titanic" was supposed to kick off the 2019 Film on the Rocks schedule at Red Rocks.
"Although it’s disappointing to have to cancel one of our Red Rocks events, the decision was made with a complete focus on the comfort and ability of our guests to have the most enjoyable experience."
The Denver Film Society said full refunds are being issued to anyone who purchased "Titanic" tickets.
The Film on the Rocks season will now begin with "Bohemian Rhapsody" on Tuesday, May 28.
