It's the 4th July, so in the spirit of the holiday, let's dive into four free things that are brewing in Denver this week.
Friday Night Bazaar
The Friday Night Bazaars are back in RiNo. The free outdoor marketplace runs on Friday nights from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the RiNo Arts District all summer. The bazaar features shopping at more than 20 local businesses and sips from local brewers. General admission is free, but you can also purchase shop and sip wine glasses and drink tokens for $20 to $40 in advance. You can find the bazaar directly next to stem ciders at 2845 Walnut St.
Lohi Bazaar BBQ
And if you aren't completely bazaar-ed out, come on out to the Lohi Bazaar BBQ running from Friday, July 6th to Sunday, July 8th. The event features local merchants, food, craft beverages and the best barbeque the Front Range has to offer. Hear a variety of local talent on the music stage, from classic funk to Colorado Bluegrass.
The party kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday on 32nd Ave. between Zuni and Tejon Streets. On Saturday the fun starts at 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more details on both events visit DenverBazaar.com.
City Park Jazz
If you're still in the mood for some music, bring your lawn chairs and watch some jazz in the park.
City Park Jazz kicks off its free summer concert series on Sunday with La Pompe Jazz & Friends. The Denver band blends gypsy jazz, blues and American jazz standards into their sound. The concert starts at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. And if you can't make that concert - don't worry. City Park Jazz will be hosting more free summer concerts until August 5th. For more information and complete list of performers, visit CityParkJazz.org.
The 4th of July Great American Picnic
And no - I didn't forget some free 4th of July fun! Tomorrow, bring out your red, white and blue and head out to Broomfield for the 4th of July Great American Picnic. The event begins at 5 p.m. in Broomfield County Commons Park and includes a children's carnival, bike parade, and a free concert by "That Eighties Band". At 9:30, of course, there's the fireworks! For more details visit Broomfield.org.
And that's what's brewing in and around Denver this 4th of July week. Have a safe and happy Fourth everyone!
