KUSA — If you were barely able to make it through high school chemistry (same!), this 7-year-old from Denver will make you feel even worse.

Finn Hathaway, a second grader at Asbury Elementary School in Denver, appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, and absolutely aced a chemistry quiz.

He can recite all of the elements on the periodic table … in order … in less than two minutes.

"The group that my favorite element is in and also my second favorite is the transition metals," Hathaway said. "Technetium and tantalum."

Hathaway said he needed a challenge and that it took him about a year to nail it.

In addition, if you point to any element, Hathaway can tell you its atomic number, symbol and what it’s used for.

His school posted a tribute to him on Facebook, saying they are “so proud.”

Way to represent Denver, Finn! Asbury Elementary School held an assembly Wednesday so everyone could watch his 'Ellen' segment.
