A 439-acre retreat tucked in the mountains near Edwards, Colorado, hit the market Friday for $79 million.

Casteel Creek Retreat, which boasts a 32,000-square foot main home and eight other residences, is within a short distance to the Beaver Creek Ski Resort and Vail Mountain Club and borders 1.5 miles of National Forest. Despite being off the beaten path at 25 Casteel Creek Road, year-round access is available from a county-maintained road, nearby Eagle Airport and several on-site helipad locations.

The main home is described in the listing as a "castle-like estate" and "an architectural wonder, clad in copper, steel, glass, and stone" capped off with a dramatic $1 million bridge. The residence boasts seven en suites and features that make the home feel like a resort: a swimming pool, hot tub and spa. There are also elevators to transport guests and a theater and gym.

Beyond the main residence, there are three "Wild West"-themed apartments, three guest houses, a vintage cabin and the caretaker's apartment.
