AURORA, Colo. — A popular California-based dumpling restaurant is one step closer to opening a location in Aurora.
Mason’s Dumpling Shop is now taking reservations for a two-week soft opening period before owners announce when the dumpling destination will open full-time. Reservations can be made from March 18 through April 1.
The restaurant at 9655 E. Montview Blvd. specializes in dumplings that are handmade daily using farm-fresh produce and locally sourced meat, according to its website.
Staff wake up early to mix the fillings and knead and roll the dough, and then they handfold hundreds of dumplings each day.
“The new store in Colorado will continue the tradition of handmaking each dumpling from scratch every morning and bring delicious food to all the dumpling lovers throughout the Denver metro!” the restaurant's website says.
The Aurora menu features boiled dumplings, steamed dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, noodles, rice, pork buns and a variety of appetizers.
The owners originally opened up shop in 2001 as Luscious Dumpling in Monrovia, Calif. In 2018, Mason’s Dumpling Shop opened a location in Los Angeles. The Aurora location will be the third outpost for the dumpling house.
