When you need to ship gifts to make sure they arrive by Christmas

Need to make sure your gifts arrive by Christmas? Check the shipping deadlines for USPS, FedEx, Amazon and UPS.

It's time for the busiest shipping season of the year.

The United States Postal Service says they expect to deliver nearly 200 million packages per week over the next two weeks, according to their website.

USPS expects December 17 - 23 to be the busiest mailing, shipping and delivery week of the year. According to their website, they expect to process and deliver nearly 3 billion pieces of mail that week alone.

So how do you help to make sure your packages and mail don't get lost in the clutter?

Here are the dates each carrier recommends you have everything shipped to have it delivered by Christmas:

This year, Christmas falls on a Tuesday, so shipping last-minute the prior week may require a premium service for delivery by Friday, Dec. 21 or Monday, Dec. 24.
