Instead, you can spend the day outside in one of Colorado's state parks for free.
As part of a Great Outdoors Colorado initiative, Colorado Parks and Wildlife is offering access to all 41 Colorado state parks for free on Black Friday this year.
The organizations are rebranding the day, "Fresh Air Friday," and encouraging people to spend time on Thanksgiving weekend making memories with loved ones by exploring the outdoors.
Along with free admission, several parks are hosting special events on Friday:
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Meet at the top of the Chatfield State Park dam for a leisurely, flat 2-mile scenic walk. Leashed dogs are welcome! Please dress for the weather and bring water.
8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Want to avoid shopping centers today? Join us for Fresh Air Friday! Join Naturalist Cindi on a leisurely 4-mile hike on a favorite trail! Watch for winter birds and wildlife. Dress for the weather, and bring water and a snack.
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
We will have hot drinks and snacks at the visitor center all day. There will also be a guided hike at 1:00 p.m.

We have a peaceful 3-mile stroll planned that is the perfect way to socialize with old friends and maybe make a few new ones, all while enjoying Mother Nature.
