This Aurora dog owner loves to pamper her pups

How much is too much for your dog? The sky is the limit for this proud pup owner in Aurora.

AURORA — Some dog owners love to go the extra mile by buying clothes, toys and accessories for their furry friends.

Pat Teneyck of Aurora has a Yorkie named Gala and a Maltese named Anna. She got both pups from the Mill Dog Rescue where she also volunteers.

Teneyck enjoys spoiling her dogs with toys, treats and anything she can think of because she knows that coming from a mill that breeds – her pups initially didn’t get the love and attention they deserved.

Now, they see vets regularly, go to the groomers, and the clothes they wear are just a fraction of the loot these pups have.

“They have sweaters and for kind of cool days they have onesies,” Teneyck said. “They have winter coats, they have scarves, gloves. They have an entire wardrobe.”

The dogs also have strollers, countless leashes and harnesses for the car so they can ride in style and safety. The list goes on and on.

“I mean, we treat them like they are practically our children because I’ve never had any children,” Teneyck said. “I have always had dogs and they don’t sass you back, they may bark.”

It’s not just about dog toys, Teneyck also has a pet portrait and a lot of funny dog signs decorating her home.
