KUSA - It is National Country Cooking month, so we turned to local restaurant Sassafras American Eatery in Denver to show us how to make a true country dish.

Chef Colin Mallet says he designed the country comfort food menu for the restaurant from scratch.

He shared with us his secret recipe for New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp:

Ingredients:

1 cup white wine

1 tbsp hot sauce

3 tbsp Worcestershire

1 tsp minced garlic (large clove)

1/4 cup of lemon juice

1 1/2 tsp black seasoning

1 tsp chopped parsley
