Whether it's a parent, grandparent, friend or well-known community member, most everyone has a senior in their life.

And many more people are those responsible for providing care for them.

All this week, 9NEWS is providing special coverage surrounding senior citizens and the people who take care of them. Below is a list of online stories for Senior Week.

And tune into 9NEWS shows daily for live interviews with experts and stories about seniors, nonprofits and experts.

9NEWS will also host a Senior Source Line9 at the below times. The Line9 phone number is 303-698-0999.

  • Monday, 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. - Social security questions
  • Tuesday, 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. - "Perfect Homecoming" volunteers will be taking calls. A Perfecting Homecoming is an organization dedicated to helping seniors transition from hospitals to their homes to reduce the risk of hospital re-admissions and improve quality of life.
  • Friday, 5 p.m. - Experts from the Denver Police Department, the city attorney's office HS Family and Adult support services and the Denver DA's office will take calls to answer questions in regards to elder abuse and keeping elderly people safe.
