DENVER — Get some laughs this week while supporting local comedians during the inaugural Colfax Comedy Festival.
Put on by Goldfish Entertainment, the festival will put on comedy shows each night from July 9 to 14 at various venues along Colfax, including Streets Denver, Irish Snug, Barfly, Tandem Bar, and Kinga’s Lounge.
The festival kicks off Tuesday night with a free show at Barfly, and ends Sunday with a podcast and comedy show at Tandem Bar.
Sam Tallent, who festival organizers said started out on Colfax at The Squire Lounge, is headlining the festival on Saturday night, along with local comics Matt Cobos, Allison Rose, Michael Issacs, and Jo Kimbrell.
VIP tickets, which will grant you entry into all of the festival's shows, are available for $25. Single day tickets are also available for purchase, and the first two shows of the festival are free to attend.
A portion of the proceeds from the festival will go to benefit Food For Thought Denver, which provides and distributes food to hungry children throughout the Denver metro area.
