DENVER — The only Black-eyed Pea restaurant in Denver has closed its doors.
The restaurant, located on South Colorado Boulevard north of Interstate 25, permanently closed on Sunday after it was unable to renew its lease.
After the closure, the Southern comfort food chain will not operate any restaurants in Denver.
Black-eyed Pea will continue to operate its eight other locations in Colorado, in Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, Englewood, Lakewood, Northglenn, Parker, Pueblo and Westminster.
Employees at the Denver location have been offered jobs at the other Colorado restaurants.
