Don't get towed: 5 ways to get to the Garth Brooks concert

Parking at Broncos Stadium at Mile High sold out Friday morning, so it's not an option unless if you've already purchased a pass.

DENVER — All public parking at Broncos Stadium at Mile High is sold out ahead of the Garth Brooks concert Saturday night which is expected to draw more than 80,000 fans.

It will be the biggest ticketed event in the stadium’s history, according to Denver Public Works (DPW). They organization is encouraging fans to plan ahead and consider other transportation options to get to the highly anticipated event.

After all, no one wants to leave the concert and find out that their car has been towed away because they were parked illegally, DPW said.

Below are some options for getting to and from the concert on Saturday.

1) Utilize transit

The stadium is easily accessible by light rail or bus. RTD will be adding extra train cars to their regularly scheduled light rail service near the stadium and providing extra trains on the C and E lines.

The changes start two hours before the concert, which is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and continue after the event until the Broncos Stadium station is clear of passengers.

2) Carpool

Consider carpooling either with a designated sober driver or a ride share service. Fewer cars on the roads and highways means less traffic and can help reduce the number of concert-goers that need to utilize street parking.

3) Ride a bike

The stadium is conveniently located adjacent to Denver bike paths, and it’s equipped with more than 300 individual bike racks. There is also free bike valet parking near Gate Four at Broncos Stadium.

4) Paid parking

All parking on site at Broncos Stadium, with the exception of handicapped parking, is sold out. To minimize traffic congestion and delays, those who have not pre-purchased a parking pass for a stadium lot should avoid the stadium area.

Paid parking for the event will be available in off-site lots such as Auraria Campus, the Pepsi Center and the Downtown Aquarium.

Parking will be sold on event day in stadium lots D, G and L to people with valid accessible handicap placards or license plates.

5) On-street Parking

Fans should watch for posted parking restrictions around the stadium and surrounding neighborhoods. Denver’s Right of Way Enforcement agents will be enforcing posted parking regulations in the area.

Posted signs in the stadium area restrict parking to vehicles with the correct residential parking permit posted in the window from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Vehicles that park without appropriate permits will be cited and towed to a temporary impound lot in Denver at 2000 W. 3rd Ave.

Additional note: Ticketmaster sent out an email saying the concert is a mobile ticket only event, but later released a statement saying the email was an error.

"Events at Bronco Stadium are usually mobile only. However, ‪tomorrow night‬’s event is not mobile only. We apologize for any confusion," the statement read.
