Hot dog! The Wienermobile is coming to Denver

Visitors to the Denver County Fair won't want to miss the 27-foot-long icon.

DENVER — One of the most famous automobiles ever made is on its way back to the Mile High City.

The iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will make a stop at the Denver County Fair on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20, organizers announced Monday.

Fans of vehicles and hot dogs can take a photo with the Wienermobile and grab a Wiener Whistle.

The 27-foot-long hot dog on wheels was first created by Carl Mayer in 1936 and has been delighting the nation ever since. The Wienermobile coming to Colorado is one of six Wienermobiles touring the United States.

The Denver County Fair opens Friday, July 19 at the National Western Complex.
