DENVER — Shoppers along the 16th Street Mall will have one more place to stop for food, games and a cold beverage starting Friday.

The Skyline Beer Garden, located on Arapahoe Street between 16th and 17th streets, is opening for the season on June 7.

The space is close to 40,000 square feet, with big Octoberfest-style picnic tables that can seat up to 350 guests. A family-friendly game area features giant Jenga, foosball, ping pong, a nine-hole miniature golf course, and cornhole. Live music is slated for every Friday and Saturday.

This year's beer garden features 12 different beers on tap, along with a selection of wine and cocktails. There's also street tacos, wings, nachos, pretzels and ice cream available for purchase.

The beer garden will be open daily through mid-October (weather permitting) from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

This is the third summer in a row where a pop-up beer garden has been constructed at Skyline Park. The effort is put on by the Downtown Denver Partnership, Downtown Denver Business Improvement District, and Denver Parks and Recreation.
