Where to celebrate Star Wars Day in Denver

"May the 4th be with you." It started as a simple pun, but is now a global holiday celebrating all things Star Wars.

KUSA — It's one of the better days on a Star Wars' fan's calendar: May 4.

The phrase "May the fourth be with you" has come to create a global holiday that celebrates a galaxy far, far away.

There are several events on Friday in celebration of Star Wars films, television shows, books and memorabilia from 1977's Star Wars to Solo: A Star Wars Story (which is just weeks away).

Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in Denver is hosting two Star Wars events this weekend. First on Friday night is "Star Wars After Dark," open to those 18 and older. Saturday is the family-friendly "Star Wars at the Hangar" event.

UnWined in Denver is holding a Star Wars night where you can paint a canvas of your favorite characters while drinking wine.

John Williams fans should head to Boulder Friday for "The Music of Star Wars" performed by the Boulder Chamber Orchestra and Boulder Chorale at Macky Auditorium. Tickets are available online at BoulderChorale.org.

The Denver Outlaws make their 2018 season debut at home Friday at Mile High Stadium with a Star Wars Night theme. Special Denver Outlaws Star Wars shirts are available!

Wiley Roots Brewing Company in Greeley has two new beer releases today: Breakfast of Sith Lords (a maple bacon porter) and Tatooine Sunrise (a blood orange wheat). It's a keep-the-glass event with special Star Wars glasses too.

Denver International Airport says travelers should head to the airport's Great Hall at 10 a.m. on Friday for a special event.
