Amazon looking to hire 2,000 local workers

Amazon is hosting a job fair Thursday to help fill 2,000 seasonal, part-time and full-time positions around the Denver area.

DENVER — Amazon plans to hire more than 2,000 seasonal and full-time positions for its customer fulfillment centers and delivery facilities around the Denver area.

The company is hosting a hiring event on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at its Amazon fulfillment center staffing office located at 22205 E. 19th Ave in Aurora.

Candidates can walk in, apply and receive a job offer on the spot at the hiring event, the company said in a release. Applicants who can't make it can apply online here. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Amazon recently announced that it would increase its hourly minimum wage to $15. The increase begins Nov. 1 and applies to all hourly associates. All full-time, part-time, and seasonal associates are also eligible for benefits.
