Another guess of what city Amazon.com Inc. plans to locate its HQ2 has come out, and Denver's nowhere near the top in this one.
The chief economist of global real estate investment company CCIM Institute, and the Alabama Center for Real Estate released a report yesterday called “Amazon HQ2: A Reset Button for Site Selection."
That report details how an Eastern U.S. city is likely to nab Amazon's (Nasdaq: AMZN) $5 billion HQ2 facility, which is estimated to generate 50,000 jobs.
The report says Amazon HQ2 is likely to end up in the nation's "Golden Triangle," which is described as a region encompassed by the Great Lakes to the north, Texas to the southwest, and Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida to the southeast.
