SendGrid Inc., a Denver-based email delivery company, announced Wednesday that it has closed on a $33 million round of funding.
Palo Alto, California-based Bain Capital Group led the Series D round, along with Boulder-based Foundry Group, Menlo Park, California-based Bessemer Ventures and SofTech Ventures, also based on Palo Alto.
SendGrid will use the funding to beef up the company's email marketing product and its customer service offerings, as well as develop new products and to accelerate its global expansion plans.
“We are thrilled to put additional capital on our balance sheet to provide us with flexibility to continue investing in our exciting opportunity," said SendGrid CEO Sameer Dholakia.
