DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL — There's a new boss at University of Colorado South Denver, and his name is Vice Chancellor Scot Chadwick.

CU Denver Chancellor Dorothy Horrell and CU Anschutz Medical Campus Chancellor Don Elliman chose the CU Denver executive director for the office of digital education to lead the college after a month-long search following the departure of Luella Chavez D’Angelo, who served in the role for about two years and left for a vice president position at Centura Health. Chadwick will continue to serve at CU in addition to leading CU South Denver.

“Adult learners and employers alike are increasingly looking to higher education for innovations in academic programming that can align their education goals with their career and life goals," Chadwick said in a statement provided to Denver Business Journal before wider dissemination. "CU South Denver has become a hub for these innovations and is uniquely positioned at the forefront of serving the adult learner of today and of the future."

Before his current role as executive director for the Office of Digital Education at CU Denver and Anschutz Medical Campus, Chadwick held several business leadership positions in the private sector, including as chief revenue officer at game-based learning company Triseum and vice president and general manager at London-based education firm Pearson, where he led the launch of a tech education startup.
