A blockchain class that's the result of a partnership between blockchain-backed loan provider SALT Lending’s nonprofit arm and Regis University launches Wednesday.
The four-week, not-for-credit pilot course offered through Regis University’s College of Business and Economics is titled “Blockchain for Social Impact.” It will cover basic crypto-economic concepts.
“We are focusing on the global financial use of blockchain, but this isn’t a blockchain-only class,” SALT Foundation Executive Director Dan Moore said. “We want the students to form a base of knowledge on it, and how it can make an impact on the world and locally.”
Crypto Fund Research listed SALT Lending, which stands for Secure Automated Lending Technology, as one of the top blockchain companies in the Denver metro last month. In mid-May, SALT Lending created the SALT Bridge Foundation, which is a nonprofit initiative that aims to help those who are not able to secure funding via traditional banking throughout the world.
