DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL — United Airlines is moving to make boarding a simpler, presumably less stressful experience for passengers as it continues to try to enhance the customer experience.
The Chicago-based carrier said Tuesday it is introducing a revamped, two-lane boarding set-up at gates in airports throughout its network.
That’s down from five lanes that were used by five different boarding groups in United’s previous flight boarding procedure.
Under the new plan starting immediately, boarding groups 1 and 2 will board through one of the two lanes, and groups 3 through 5 will board through the second lane now in place at each gate.
