COLORADO, USA — A historic home in Cherry Hills Village has been listed for sale for $10.5 million.

The six-bedroom, six-bathroom home at 3901 S. Gilpin St. was designed as a country manor in the Tudor Revival style by architects Merrill and Burnham Hoyt. Built in 1923, the home is known as the Owen Estate and the Schmidt Estate on the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places.

"The Owen Estate was developed during the fall and winter of 1923 as a family residence by prominent retail executive William R. Owen Jr., an officer and part owner of the Denver Dry Goods Co., one of the city's leading department stores," according to the home's registration documents filed in 1999. Due to a divorce, the estate only stayed in the Owen family until 1928, according to the documents.

The home was last sold for $7.68 million in 2015 and $2.3 million before that in 1988, according to Arapahoe County public records. Property taxes for 2018 were $53,594.
