Pumpkin Festival — Littleton

Denver Botanic Gardens' Chatfield Farms is ready for autumn! This weekend's Pumpkin Festival features a 10-acre pumpkin patch and family and children's activities. The festival includes local craft and artisan booths, food trucks and vendors, beer and wine vendors, entertainment and live music. Admission includes pumpkin patch access, an antique tractor exhibit, pony rides, horse-drawn hayrides, photo booths, mini-maze, bounce houses and slides, face painting. Additional costs include the Chatfield Farms' corn maze next door and the perfect pumpkin you'll want to pick out. Chatfield Farms' Pumpkin Festival runs Friday to Saturday. Fall Festival at 17 Mile House — Centennial

Arapahoe County's Fall Festival takes place this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 17 Mile House Farm Park. The free festival features kid-friendly activities such as a pumpkin patch, hayrides, children's corral, petting farm, face painting, gold panning, blacksmith and more. Adults will appreciate the beer and food options, live music from Strings and the Box and Just Jill and the first-come, first-serve goat yoga at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Harvest Festival — Brighton

The Friends of Barr Lake's 6th Annual Harvest Festival arrives Saturday. Barr Lake State Park will be home to kid-friendly midway games, face painting, kids' crafts, hayrides, petting zoo, kiddie train and more. The Friends of Barr Lake will be accepting donations in exchange for snacks, beverages and pumpkins grown at the state park. The free Harvest Festival runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Wolf Ranch Fall Festival — Colorado Springs

The 2nd Annual Wolf Ranch Fall Festival begins at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stonehaven Park. Free and open to the public, the festival will have live entertainment from kids' magician Inspector Magic, the Flying W Wranglers and SofaKillers Band. The festival's kid zone will have games, activities, face painting, balloon twisting, climbing wall, bungee trampoline, cotton candy and free prizes. To top it all off, there will be a pumpkin patch, beer garden and vendor marketplace.

Choctoberfest — Aurora

Chocolate lovers, rejoice! The 5th Annual Choctoberfest will be held at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds this Saturday. The event promises to be Colorado's most indulgent chocolate and beverage festival with "chocolate of every ilk." Over 70 vendors from across the country will be offering tastes of chocolate candy, cakes, cookies, truffles, fudge, brownies, toffees, chocotinis, chocolate-infused beer, wine, liquor, cupcakes, coffees and more. In addition to thousands of chocolate samples, the festival also features live music, holiday gifts, kids' Halloween costume contest, apple bobbing, chocolate pudding eating contest, happy hour and a giant chocolate-covered Peyton Manning statue. Celtic Fest & Oktoberfest — Carbondale

Carbondale will host not one, but two great events this weekend. The city will celebrate the Irish with authentic beers and wines, dancing and music on Friday with the annual Celtic Fest from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday's Oktoberfest will then feature an atmosphere of German food, spirits, music, root beer, children's activities and more. Celtic Fest and Oktoberfest will take place at the 4th Street Plaza and Park on Main Street.

Fort Carson is hosting a celebration of all things Oktoberfest on Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m. The event is free and open to public, which can enter from Gate 1 or 20. Estes Park's Bond Park will be the site of the 5th Annual Pumpkins and Pilsners on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be plenty of kids' activities including face painting, pony rides, pumpkin patch, bounce house, live music as well as food vendors, a beer garden and games. Pumpkins and Pilsners also serves as a fundraiser for local non-profit Families for Estes.

Boggsville Days — Las Animas

Boggsville, Colorado, located about two miles south of Las Animas, was one of the first communities for Anglo settlers in the state, sitting along the Santa Fe Trail. Now owned by the Pioneer Historical Society of Bent County, the site celebrates its history with Boggsville Days. From Friday to Sunday the site will have cavalry, horse farming, mountain men, games, the Burlington gunfighters and more. On Saturday night there will be a chuck wagon dinner followed by a cowboy poets and music show.

The 9th Annual Telluride Horror Show is Colorado's first and longest-running horror film festival. Zombie Walk — Pueblo

The annual Pueblo Zombie Walk returns this Saturday at the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed a zombie or wearing an "X' on their back as a survivor. The Zombie Walk is open to all ages and is kid-friendly, but some costumes may be graphic. There will be a short zombie crawl around the riverwalk to a large clearing. Zombies and survivors will then line up on separate sides before charging at each other in (foam, Nerf) battle.

Fright Fest Pet Parade — Denver

The 20th Annual Fright Fest Pet Parade arrives Saturday at Elitch Gardens! Pets can compete in categories of Funniest, Most Original and Best Pet/Owner Combination Costumes. There will be some cool prizes including 2019 Season Passes for the Best in Show winner. Each registrant will receive a 2019 admission ticket. The Rocky Horror Picture Show — Manitou Springs

It's time to do the Time Warp again! The 1975 cult-classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show, featuring a young couple who enter a castle occupied by strangers in elaborate costumes, will again be celebrated across Colorado this October. The Iron Springs Chateau in Manitou Springs kicks off "Rocky Horror season" on Friday and Saturday with live actors performing on stage while the movie plays.
