Avril Lavigne's first tour in 5 years to stop in Colorado

DENVER — Pop rock icon Avril Lavigne has announced that her first tour in five years will come to the Centennial State this fall. 

Lavigne's 15-city “Head Above Water” tour will come to Denver's Paramount Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Tickets for the Colorado concert go on sale Friday, June 28 at 10 a.m. at AltitudeTickets.com, LiveNation.com and by phone at 303-893-TIXS. Fans can register online to get in line to get first access to tickets.

Citi cardholders will have early ticket access beginning Wednesday, June 26 at 10 a.m. local time through Thursday, June 27 at 10 p.m. local time at CitiEntertainment.com.

One dollar from each concert ticket sold will be donated to The Avril Lavigne Foundation which supports people with Lyme Disease, serious illness or disabilities, according to concert promoter Live Nation.

The “Head Above Water” tour, in support of Lavigne's sixth studio album, will kick off on Sept. 14 in Seattle and conclude in Philadelphia on Oct. 11.
