BOULDER, Colo. — The skeletal remains of a man found near Gregory Canyon in Boulder County in 1993 continue to perplex investigators, who on Thursday released a statement requesting anyone with information to come forward.
The remains were discovered on Nov. 11, 1993 and belong to a Caucasian male, aged 25 years old to 45 years old with a height of between 5 feet, 3 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall, an examination found. The man was wearing Levi blue jeans, a white shirt and white tennis shoes.
The man had shoulder-length dark blonde or light brown hair, his teeth were in poor condition, and he may have had anemia. Anemia is a condition in which a person doesn't have enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to the body's tissues, often making the person feel tired and weak.
The man was likely born in the southeastern U.S. and may have lived in southern Florida or central Texas, chemical isotope testing found. He was unlikely a Colorado native.
The Longmont Police Department and University of South Florida also completed facial reconstructions of the man with and without a beard.
