COLORADO, USA — Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Law enforcement agencies around the state will be accepting your old or unwanted prescription and over the counter medications.
This program is focused on providing convenient locations across the nation for the public to drop off excess, unused, and expired controlled substances and other medications from our nation’s medicine cabinets.
The event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Please note that these sites cannot accept needles or sharps, mercury thermometers, oxygen containers, chemotherapy or radioactive substances, illicit drugs, or pressurized canisters.
Through the Colorado Household medication Take-Back program, some dropoff sites are available all year long. They include many pharmacies and law enforcement agencies.
