A person was arrested following a fatal crash between a car and pedestrian early Tuesday morning.
Denver Police tweeted that they are investigating the crash, which happened at 40th Avenue and Havana Street.
Details on what led up to the crash have not been released, but the investigation forced crews to shut down 37th and 45 avenues at I-70 for hours.
9NEWS talked with a witness on scene who described a complex crash.
"The driver of the vehicle got out and tried to run, and some other people were standing out there and stopped him until the police came," he said.
