2 shot after Commerce City house party

The initial investigation revealed that both victims were in the street leaving a house party when the shooting happened.

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Two people were shot early Sunday morning in Commerce City while leaving a house party.

Officers with the Commerce City Police Department responded to a report of shots fired just before 2 a.m. in the 6100 block of Pontiac Street. When they arrived, they found two victims with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital, but details about the severity of their injuries are unknown at this time.

The initial investigation revealed that both victims were in the street leaving a house party when the shooting happened. No other details were released.

Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call the Commerce City Police Department’s tip line at 303-289-3626.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
