KUSA — Police are asking for the community's help to find the suspect or suspects responsible for the shooting death of a 25-year-old man in Denver's East Colfax neighborhood on Wednesday evening.
According to the Denver Police Department, a fight occurred in the 1300 block alley of Xenia/Yosemite Streets just before 9 p.m. One of the suspects, described only as a black male in his 20s, fired a handgun and struck the victim, Andro Charles Lowate.
The suspect and his companions (two to three black males and one female) left the area headed south on foot.
Lowate was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
Suspect information in the case, as well as the exact circumstances of what led up to the shooting, are under investigation by the Denver Police Department.
