3 plead guilty to murder in man's death

Several people have pleaded guilty in connection with the death of Dominique Cozy who was shot and killed in September of 2017 in Denver.

DENVER — Three of the six people charged in connection with the 2017 shooting death of a man during an attempted robbery at his home have pleaded guilty to murder according to a release from the Denver District Attorney's Office.

A fourth suspect pleaded guilty to a robbery charge related to the case.

Quenon Glaspy, 21, and Mikie Tarango ,21, each pleaded guilty in Denver District Court to one count of second-degree murder on July 12.

Sentencing hearings for both are scheduled for August 24.

Kylan Sapp, 22, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder on July 13 and is scheduled to be sentenced August 23.

On September 25, 2017, the victim, 24-year-old Dominique Cozy, was shot at his home in the 2200 block of S. Delaware Street, for which Glaspy, Tarango, and Sapp were charged and pleaded guilty.

Originally, Glaspy, Tarango, Sapp, as well as William Webb, 26, and Savannah Leisegang, 18, were each charged with one count of murder in the first degree-felony and two counts of attempt to commit aggravated robbery.

Leisegang pleaded guilty on June 15 to an added count of aggravated robbery and was immediately sentenced to 20 years in prison, according to the Denver District Attorney's Office.

Tyjonn Villa, 22, was charged with one count of murder in the first degree-after deliberation, one count of murder in the first degree-felony, and two counts of attempt to commit aggravated robbery.

Webb and Villa are scheduled for disposition hearings on October 11.
