3 people shot, 1 killed, near Civic Center in Denver

The incident happened near West Colfax Avenue and Broadway.

DENVER — The Denver Police Department (DPD) was investigating a shooting that sent three people to the hospital Friday night, leaving one of them dead and another critically injured.

The call came in just after 8:30 p.m., police said.  

The incident took place in the area of West Colfax Avenue and North Broadway, near Civic Center Park.

A third victim had injuries that were not life-threatening, according to DPD.

Police said they have not made any arrests at this time, and the circumstances around the shooting were still unknown. 

The man killed was identified as 28-year-old Jalen Adams.
