28-year-old woman identified in Aurora homicide

Kaeli Fossen was found dead from a gunshot wound to her head on Nov. 28.

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — The Adams County Coroner's Office has released the identify of a woman who was found shot to death in Aurora last November.

Kaeli Fossen, 28, was found dead near the intersection of East Smith Road and North Sable Boulevard in the early morning hours on Nov. 28. Police said she had been shot in the head.

At the time when Fossen's body had been found, Aurora Police (APD) said no arrests had yet been made. 9NEWS is checking with APD to see if there are any updates.

Anyone with information about the shooting can call Detective Knight at 303-739-6982 or Detective Graw at 303-739-6213. Investigators were interested in talking to anyone in the area of Smith Road and Sable Boulevard between 4 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 28.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
