Boulder police are investigating a shooting that left one man with a possible gunshot wound to his leg. 

Officers were dispatched to the 2900 Block of Shady Hollow West on the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man with a possible gunshot wound, bleeding enough from his right upper thigh that officers applied a tourniquet.

Police said they found the man in the parking lot. He was transported to a local hospital to undergo surgery.

Police said they are looking for three people that fled the scene in a red hatchback. They were last seen leaving the area southbound on 28th Street from Valmont Road. 

Police are looking for a vehicle that may be a red Ford C-Max, model year 2013-2017.
