Broomfield PD: Pipe bomb found in stolen vehicle at Walmart

All three suspects were taken to the Broomfield Jail, police said.

Three suspects were taken into custody Sunday morning after police say they were found inside a stolen vehicle in Broomfield with a pipe bomb.

Officers conducting business patrols discovered a vehicle stolen out of Thornton at the Walmart located at 4651 West 121st Avenue shortly after 4 a.m.

The Adams County Bomb Squad was called to the scene and disassembled the pipe bomb, police said.

Zach Rickard, 30, of Littleton, Heather Moore, 28, of Littleton, and John Ulibarri, 48, of Denver were taken into custody.

Rickard is being held for investigation of theft, possession of weapons by previous offender, motor vehicle theft among other offenses.

Ulibarri is being held as a fugitive.

Moore is being held for motor vehicle theft, possession of weapons by a previous offender, fraud, driving when license is under restraint, controlled substance distribution, among other charges.

Her bond is set at $5,750.

Moore has been found guilty of drug possession several times, and her arrest record dates back to 2007.

Rickard is being held for possession of weapons by a previous offender, possession of explosives or incendiary devices, motor vehicle theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond is set at $5,000.

Since 2005, Rickard has been found guilty of vehicle theft, identity theft, forgery, attempting escape, drug possession and tampering with evidence.

Ulibarri is being held on an outstanding warrant. His arrest record dates back to 1990 and includes convictions for vehicle thefts, burglary and drug possession.

All three suspects were taken to the Broomfield County Detention Center, police said.

There's no ongoing threat to the public, and the Walmart remains open for business.
