CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — The Castle Rock Police Department (CRPD) is investigating a report of shots fired in a retail area just west of the Outlets at Castle Rock.

CRPD said police received several calls from witnesses just before 11:40 a.m. Thursday reporting that the occupants of two vehicles were involved in an altercation and that shots were fired in the 1300 block of New Beale Street.

Both vehicles were already gone by the time police arrived, according to CRPD, and they don't have any suspect information. It's not clear what led to the altercation.
