1 dead after shooting in Commerce City

Commerce City Police are looking for the suspect wanted in connection to Sunday's fatal shooting.

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — The Commerce City Police Department (CCPD) is looking for a suspect wanted in a fatal shooting that happened Sunday night.

At about 10:57 p.m., officers with CCPD were called to the 5400 block of East 67th Avenue for a report of shots fired in the area. That's northwest of East 64th Avenue and Holly Street in Commerce City.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot, according to police. The man was declared dead at the scene, police said.

Police have not released a description of the suspect and no arrest has been made in connection to the shooting. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, CCPD said. Investigators are still trying to determine what led up to the shooting.
