The Denver Police Department issued a crime bulletin Tuesday afternoon asking for the public’s help finding the person who was responsible for the death of a man found slain behind a motel on East Colfax Avenue earlier this month.

The victim, identified as Richard Young, was known to his friends as “Panic,” according to Denver Police.

His body was found at around 7:15 a.m. on Feb. 6 behind the Regis Motel at 8282 E. Colfax Ave.

Young was known to frequent the East Colfax corridor, according to DPD.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867) or by using the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers mobile app. All tipsters remain anonymous and are eligible for an award of up to $2,000.
