A Denver Firefighter is facing a misdemeanor charge for indecent exposure and is now on administrative leave from the Denver Fire Department, 9Wants To Know has learned.
Aurora police arrested Timothy Plybon, 34, June 6th after a man and his girlfriend reported they saw Plybon masturbating inside of From Mexico Con Amor, a candy store located in the Town Center of Aurora.
Denver Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Taylor told 9Wants To Know Plybon has been with the agency since 2007.
According to a police report, a witness told officers that Plybon was walking "around the store and the whole time Plybon had his penis in his hand."
Another witness told police she is an employee, and was helping two teenage girls when Plybon walked into the store.
Aurora police spokesman Sgt. Chris Amsler told 9Wants To Know an off-duty APD officer tried to stop Plybon as he was walking out of the mall. Amsler said Plybon ignored the officer's command to stop, and attempted to drive away.
A mall security guard cornered Plybon before he could leave.
Taylor said no one has ever filed a complaint against Plybon, nor has he ever been placed on an administrative leave.
"We take matters involving personnel very seriously and take swift action when it's required," Taylor said, adding they agency requires it's employees to report police contacts.
Plybon was released from the Aurora City Jail on a summons.
