DENVER — An 11-month-old boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert was located in Wyoming and authorities are working to reunite him with his mother, Denver Police said.

An "astute" person recognized Anwar Rhodes and his son Friday morning, according to Denver Police spokesperson Doug Shepman. He said authorities in Casper, Wyoming made contact with them and Rhodes was taken into custody without incident on a warrant.

Rhodes faces the following charges:

  • Second-degree assault
  • Second-degree kidnapping
  • Child abuse
  • Violation of a protection order

Police are working to reunite the boy with his mother. Shepman declined to provide additional information about where the boy and Rhodes were found citing the ongoing investigation.
