DENVER — Denver Police (DPD) have arrested a suspect in a shooting that happened Monday afternoon.
DPD said the shooting occurred near East 46th Avenue and Tennyson Street, near Berkeley Lake Park.
Police said the victim was placed in a car and driven away. The victim's body was found 14 driving miles away near East Andrews Drive and North Dillon Street.
On Thursday, the Denver Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Jonathan Blazon, 23.
Police announced Wednesday they had arrested 22-year-old Miguel Piria Wednesday after he turned himself in. Investigators said they learned that the victim and Piria knew one another.
Piria is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder. DPD asks anyone that may have information on the case to call Crime Stoppers.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
