Argument leads to assault, stabbing in LoDo

Four suspects are under arrest in the assault of a person who stabbed one of the suspects.

DENVER — Four suspects are in custody after an assault and stabbing early Saturday in the area of 19th and Blake streets in Lower Downtown.

Denver police responded at 1:46 a.m. to the 1900 block of Blake Street, an area that is a block near Coors Field and has several bars.

The incident started as an argument between the victim and another person. The four suspects then got involved in the altercation and assaulted the victim, according to the Denver Police Department (DPD). The victim then stabbed one of the suspects.

The suspect who was stabbed was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. All four suspects were arrested and held for investigation of aggravated assault.

The victim is not facing charges in the stabbing, according to Denver police.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers are notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
