1 person dead after stabbing on RTD bus

The stabbing happened near Federal Boulevard and West 32nd Avenue early Thursday morning.

DENVER — A man died after they were stabbed on an RTD bus early Thursday morning, according to a social media post from the Denver Police Department (DPD).

The stabbing was reported at 5:10 a.m. on a bus near West 32nd Avenue and Federal Boulevard. The victim was taken to the hospital where they died, according to DPD.

Police arrested the suspect, Brian Moscoso, Thursday afternoon.

Moscoso is suspected of a second stabbing death Thursday morning near Regis University where an 80-year-old woman was killed.

The names of both victims have not been released.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. 

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
