LARIMER COUNTY — A juvenile in Larimer County was arrested early Saturday morning for driving towards a deputy and then hitting a patrol car, according to a release from the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the 5100 block of South Iowa Avenue just after 1:30 a.m. to investigate a suspicious vehicle in the area.

As a deputy walked to approach the vehicle, the young driver suddenly accelerated toward the deputy – forcing him to quickly move to avoid getting hit, the release says.

A second deputy at the scene was then able to block the suspect’s vehicle in and remove the driver and two other juveniles from the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The driver was arrested on one felony allegation and multiple misdemeanor allegations, deputies said.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation into the incident.
