The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man linked to the deadly officer-involved shooting in the county on Nov. 15.

Shawn Glover, 43, was arrested on suspicion of domestic-violence-related criminal mischief after he slashed his wife's tires at a motel parking lot on the same day deputies shot and killed 18-year-old Allen Fanning.

Fanning was wanted in relation to a domestic violence incident - linked to Glover and his wife from earlier in the day on Nov. 15 - and led deputies on a brief chase before he was shot and killed by law enforcement.

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies first responded to the area of Arapahoe Road and Potomac Street around 9 .a.m. regarding Glover and his wife. Soon law enforcement said they learned Fanning was involved and had made some threats with a gun.

Deputies pursued Fanning and eventually boxed him in in the area of Arapahoe Road and Dayton Street just east of Interstate 25. He refused to follow commands, deputies said, and deputies tried to bust out a window to apprehend him. That's when Fanning reached for a weapon and deputies opened fire, authorities said.

Deputies started CPR and Fanning was later rushed to a hospital, where he died, the Sheriff's Office said. A loaded gun was recovered from the vehicle, according to law enforcement.

Glover was arrested after he slashed his a tire on his wife's vehicle, deputies said. Glover found the vehicle in a parking lot of an area motel.

Glover then caught up with his wife and Fanning at 6711 S. Potomac St. at Big O Tires, according to the Sheriff's Office. Glover told deputies Fanning went to get a handgun from his vehicle and pointed it at him before fleeing when deputies arrived.
