DENVER — A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a Christmas Eve killing in Denver.
On Dec. 24, 2022, Benjamin Williams, 40, was found shot to death in a hotel in the 6700 block of East Colfax Avenue. The Office of the Medical Examiner ruled his death was a homicide.
On Monday, police arrested Gregory Snell in connection with Williams’ death. Denver prosecutors charged Snell with the following:
- One count first-degree murder
- One count second-degree murder
- One count aggravated robbery
He's due in court Friday. No other information has been released.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
