A 31-year-old man has been formally charged with allegedly opening fire on a vehicle in Lower Downtown last month, injuring three people.
Nghia Trong Tran was charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, attempted second-degree assault and six counts of illegal discharge of a firearm.
The Denver District Attorney’s Office says Tran is out on a $50,000 bond.
Tran is accused of firing at the vehicle after an altercation in the area of 14th and Market Streets at around 1:45 a.m. on April 24. Authorities didn’t release additional information about the motive for the shooting.
He is set to appear in court on May 17 to be formally advised of the charges.
